Mung'aro reshuffles cabinet for efficient service delivery

Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung'aro has in a move to enhance service delivery to Kilifi residents reshuffled his chief officers.

In a statement, the county boss moved Samuel Menza from Public Works to Lands Energy and Physical Planning in the Ministry of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development.

Jacinta Ismail was moved from Economic planning to Resource Mobilization under the same Ministry of Finance and Planning.

Lawrence Mwazonga Bokoro was moved from Resource Mobilization to Public Works to replace Menza.

Joe Ndundi Tete of Lands Energy and Physical Planning has been moved to Economic Planning to fill the vacancy left by Jacinta.

"I have also appointed Carol Kalume as Chief of Staff and I have also ordered the departments and County Public Service Board to re-assign and re-designate officers to improve the department of Finance with immediate effect, meaning even by tomorrow morning," Mung'aro said.

The changes were made pursuant to Article 179 of the Constitution and Sections 30 and 45 of the County Governments Act No. 17 of 2012.

Following the redesignation of Jacinta and Bokoro, the only remaining Chief of Staff in the Finance and Economic Planning docket is Winnie Luwali Wakati who is in charge of Finance.

In the other departments affected by the mini-reshuffle, Abubakar Mohamed Ali remains in charge of Roads and Transport in the Ministry of Public Works, Roads and Transport.

In the Ministry of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development, Philip Kitsao Charo remains the Chief of Staff in charge of Housing and Urban Development.

All the other Chiefs of Staff in the other ministries will continue serving in their respective dockets as follows; Naphtali Owino (Youth Affairs and Sports) and Agneta Karembo (Gender, Culture, and Social Services) in the Ministry of Gender, Social Service, Youth and Sport.

Hezekiah Mwaruwa Nguma (Water services and Natural Resource Management) and Herbert George Mwachiro (Environment solid waste and climate change).

Christine Mwaka Pekeshe (Tourism promotion) and Lynne Tracy Farrah (Trade and Cooperative Development) in the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Cooperative Development.

Eliud Kalama Chai (Public service management); Zamzam Ali (Devolution and Civic Education); Irene Nekesa Opicho (Special programs and Disaster Management).

Health and Sanitation Services: David Mwathethe (Medical Services); George Katama Mwangiri (Public Health).

Office of the Governor: Martin Mangi Baya Mwaro (Executive); Philip Kitsao Charo (Housing and Urban Development). Fredrick Kasiwa Nguma (Early Childhood Education and Vocational Training); Lerine Muoti Kitema (ICT and E-Government).

In the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock Development and Blue Economy, Teddy Mwangudza Yawa remains in charge of Agriculture, Philip Emmanuel Wario (Livestock Development) while Rahab Amani Karisa continues to oversee Blue Economy.
