Education ministry opens applications for 2,000 TVET jobs

Following the recruitment, some 1,313 degree and higher diploma holders, and 687 diploma holders will be posted to all 47 counties.

The Ministry of Education has announced 2,000 job vacancies in various Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes across the country.

As such, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has invited applications from qualified degree, higher national diploma and diploma holders, the deadline being March 19, 2024, 5 pm EAT.

“Successful candidates will be required to apply for licensing and registration by the TVET Authority,” the PSC said in a notice.

Following the recruitment, some 1,313 degree and higher diploma holders, and 687 diploma holders will be posted to all 47 counties.

Twenty-nine trainers will be posted to both Mombasa and Taita Taveta, 22 to Mandera, 21 to Kirinyaga, 16 each to Samburu and Marsabit, and 17 to Tana River, while Kilifi will get 23, Kwale 22, Wajir 15, West Pokot nine, Kericho seven, and Isiolo and Lamu five each.

Counties with more trainers include Kakamega with 101, Nairobi with 96, Bungoma with 88, Meru with 86, Uasin Gishu with 83, Kiambu with 71, Kisii with 63 and Kisumu with 52.

Interested and qualified persons must submit their applications directly to the institutions where vacancies exist by filling out one PSC 2 (Revised 2016) application form. The form can be downloaded from the PSC website.

Applicants will attach copies of their national identity cards, academic and professional certificates, transcripts and any other testimonials.
