Gor Mahia Election Board announces election schedule

Gor Mahia Election Board has confirmed the date for the club’s elections on April 13, 2025, at the Nyayo National Stadium Basketball Gymnasium. The board has also announced that four key positions—Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary General, and Honorary Treasurer are now vacant, with applications open to eligible members.
The Gor Mahia Election Board has set April 13, 2025, as the date for the club’s elections, which will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium Basketball Gymnasium.
In a statement, the board also declared four positions vacant and invited interested members to submit their applications. The seats up for grabs are Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary General, and Honorary Treasurer.
According to Article 11 of the club’s constitution, candidates must meet several eligibility requirements. They must have been registered and active club members for at least three years and secure nominations from at least 20 club branches or individual members, provided the nominators have not endorsed another candidate for the same position.

Candidates must also pay a non-refundable electoral fee, which varies depending on the position:

Chairperson – Ksh 500,000

Vice-Chairperson – Ksh 450,000

Secretary General and Honorary Treasurer – Ksh 400,000 each
Payments must be made to the club’s bank account before submitting applications.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
