Alfred Ratolo scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute following a clever pass from Harrison Mwandike.

Wednesday’s FKF National Super League matches delivered a blend of tight draws and hard-fought victories as teams continued to find rhythm in the early stages of the campaign.

At Kianyaga Stadium, Fortune Sacco and MCF played out a 1-1 draw. Fortune struck first in the 24th minute through Collins Hajju after a fine assist from Dennis, but MCF equalised midway through the second half. The result leaves Fortune Sacco in 10th place with five points from five matches, while MCF follow closely in 12th with four points.

In Nairobi, Kibera Black drew 0-0 with Nzoia Sugar in a match that saw both defences dominate. Kibera remain fourth on the log with 10 points after three wins and a draw, while Nzoia stay sixth on seven points, still unbeaten since their opening win of the season.

At Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, Talanta and Gucha shared the spoils after a 0-0 stalemate. Gucha were reduced to ten men when Andrew received a second yellow card, but held firm to secure a valuable point against the relegated side.

In Soy, the newly promoted Soy United secured their first league victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Luanda Villa. Alfred Ratolo scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute following a clever pass from Harrison Mwandike. The home side managed the game well to earn their first three points, following their opening draw against Kisumu.

Down at the coast, Mombasa United edged Naivas 1-0 in a closely contested fixture. Fidel Madiela’s strike in the 76th minute was enough to hand the home side their fourth win of the campaign. Mombasa now sit second on the table with twelve points from five matches, while Naivas drop to third after their first defeat.

In Awendo, Migori Youth and 3K played out a thrilling 1-1 draw. Migori took the lead in the 75th minute from the penalty spot, but 3K responded immediately through substitute Sellasie Otieno, who tapped home after fine build-up play from Oscar.

Elsewhere, Vihiga and Kisumu ended goalless in a tightly contested encounter that produced few clear chances.
