Corner Legends upset Burhan to progress to Ramadhan Cup final

Gaza Stars and Karantiil will face off in the other semifinal on Sunday evening at the New Eastleigh Primary School ground.
Corner Legends qualified for the final of the 2024 Ramadhan Cup football tournament after defeating favourites Burhan 5-4 on post-match penalties following a 0-0 draw in regulation time in an entertaining match played at the New Eastleigh Primary School.
The two teams were evenly-matched through out the match with both getting equal chances of scoring from open play and set-pieces. The two goalkeepers were in top form as they stopped several attempts from close range to keep their teams in the game.

Corner Legends had qualified for the semifinals after winning their quarterfinal tie 2-0 against Viola while Burhan had dispatched Climbing Stars 4-2 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
Corner Legends will now meet the winner of the semifinal clash between Gaza Stars and Karantiil which will be replayed tomorrow at the New Eastleigh Primary School from 5:30 pm. The match had been abandoned on Friday following a dispute that arose after Gaza Stars were awarded a penalty.
Feisal Mohammed, a member of the New Isli Management, the body organising the tournament confirmed a change of programme with the final now scheduled to take place on Tuesday 26 March. Previously the final was scheduled to take place at the end of Ramadhan with a mini-tournament taking place in the intervening period.
"We have decided to bring the final forward to Tuesday and the mini-tournament will start on Wednesday and run through till the end of Ramadhan," Feisal said.
