Ingredients:

·1 cup pitted dates

·1/2 cup raw almonds

·1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

·1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

·1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter

·1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

·Pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

Step 1:

In a food processor, combine the dates, almonds, shredded coconut, chia seeds (if using), almond butter, cinnamon, and sea salt.

Step 2:

Pulse until the mixture starts to stick together. If it is too dry, add a little water (1 tablespoon. at a time) until the mixture comes together.

Step 3:

Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

For extra texture, roll the balls in additional shredded coconut or crushed almonds or nuts of your choice.

Step 4:

Place the balls in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up. Then store them in an airtight container.

Serve and enjoy as a snack or a sweet treat after iftar or before suhoor.
