Global ocean summit set for Mombasa, boosting tourism and business opportunities

We continue preparations for this historic global event that will place Mombasa at the centre of conversations on the future of our oceans, blue economy and climate resilience," he said.Abdulswamad added that county authorities were working to ensure local businesses, tourism operators, youth groups and transport providers benefit from opportunities arising from the conference.The governor further stated that preparations would focus on environmental management, security coordination and community involvement as the county gets ready to host the international delegates.Kenya's hosting of the summit comes as African countries increasingly push for greater involvement in global ocean governance discussions.
