In a notice, KUCCPS said the courses, offered at both certificate and diploma levels, span a range of disciplines and will remain open for applications until November 24, 2024.

“We have re-opened the KUCCPS portal to allow applications for 20 KMTC programmes that have unfilled vacancies. The portal will close on November 24, 2024,” reads the notice.

Certificate courses available for application include medical engineering, medical emergency technician, health records and information technology, orthopaedic trauma medicine, community health assistant, and nutrition and dietetics.

Diploma courses available for application include medical engineering, public health, health counselling, physiotherapy, community health, nutrition and dietetics, medical social work, health records and information technology, medical laboratory sciences, clinical medicine and surgery, health insurance management, health promotion, and occupational therapy.

KUCCPS has urged interested applicants to visit the official KUCCPS portal and apply for their chosen courses before the deadline.

"The applicants will be required to have attained the required grade to apply for the specified courses, as highlighted in the KUCCPS portal," reads the notice.

Applicants must also provide their KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password to log into the portal. For further details, applicants have been encouraged to access the portal through the link: students.kuccps.net/programmes/search-kmtc/.

After the application deadline, successful candidates will be placed in various KMTC campuses around the country, based on their preferences and performance.

Recently, there has been a notable rise in applications for KMTC courses, with many students already admitted to different campuses based on their selection and academic achievements.

On November 3, the placement service announced additional admission slots for 29 courses, allowing students with a mean grade of C or C- to apply for programs based on their qualifications.

Students with a grade of D+ were also allowed to apply for various certificate courses, while those with a C- were eligible to apply for diploma programs in different fields.
