The Dela Ward MCA has been missing for more than five months after he was abducted on September 13, 2024, on Enterprise Road in Nairobi.
A fresh twist has emerged in the case of Wajir MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed who has been missing since last year after he was allegedly abducted in Nairobi.
Activist Bob Njagi, who was abducted alongside two others in Kitengela in August 2024, claims that he was held in the same location as the MCA before his disappearance.

Njagi, leader of the Free Kenya Movement, made the revelation during a recent interview with Citizen TV, saying that at the time of his release, the Wajir MCA, who had been missing for nearly six months, was still in the hands of their captors.
"We may laugh about this matter sometimes, but I want to say here that the MCA for Wajir County was actually in the room next to where I was... I had the opportunity of peeping through the keyhole and I saw him," Njagi said emotionally.
In vivid detail, Njagi explained that the MCA was brought to the location on the night of September 13, 2024, and locked in the room next to his own.
The timing raised suspicion, as it was unusual for abductors to bring in victims at night. His curiosity led him to peep through an opening, where he saw a man whom he later learned was the missing MCA.
"On the night when he was brought to that place, I remember very well that it was September 13 because I was keeping dates of abductions and I noticed somebody had been brought in the middle of the night, which is not normal, and the room that he was taken was next to mine," Njagi recounted.
Connected the dots
His investigation into the man's identity led to the discovery that he was of Somali origin. Njagi later connected the dots and found out that the man had been abducted that same day along Enterprise Road.
"Through my own investigations, I found out that he was of Somali origin, and immediately after being released, I did my own search and realised that on the same day, Friday, September 13, there was a man that was abducted on Enterprise Road, and that is the same man who was brought to where we were," he explained.
Though the search for the MCA continues, with his family and the public anxiously awaiting answers about his fate, Njagi stated that when he was released, the MCA was still alive.
"Without fear of contradiction, I can say that when we left, he was there. Later on, I heard that his body was found mutilated and dumped in Wajir," Njagi claimed.
High Court directive
This revelation comes as the High Court has directed the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to reveal the whereabouts of Yussuf within 14 days.
The Dela Ward MCA has been missing for more than five months after he was abducted on September 13, 2024, on Enterprise Road in Nairobi.
A month after his disappearance, a body was found in Lake Yahud, which was believed to be that of the missing MCA. However, after two independent DNA tests, it was determined that the body was not his.
This led to tensions, with MCAs threatening to adjourn House sittings unless the missing MCA was found.
It is believed that Ahmed had been taken by state agencies, just four days after he had complied with summons from security agencies in Wajir.
