Ruto reassigns key principal secretaries to diplomatic posts in surprise shake-up

The changes are contained in President William Ruto’s Executive Order No. 1 of 2025.
President William Ruto has reshuffled his administration, reassigning key principal secretaries to diplomatic postings in what is widely seen as a demotion.
Trade PS Alfred Kombudo and Shipping & Maritime PS Geoffrey Kaituko have been deployed as deputy ambassadors to Brussels and Italy, respectively.
