Youth get more time as NYOTA project verification deadline pushed to Saturday
PS Mang'eni praised their enthusiasm and turnout, highlighting the importance of the validation process in ensuring that applicants are genuine residents of their constituencies and wards.
The government has extended the deadline for the NYOTA Project Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT) from Friday, October 24, 2025, to Saturday, October 25, 2025, to ensure that all eligible applicants have a fair opportunity to participate.
The announcement was made by PS of the State Department for MSMEs, Susan Mang'eni, during a visit to Moiben Constituency, Uasin Gishu County, as part of the ongoing nationwide NYOTA Project verification programme.

"This extension ensures that every eligible applicant has an equal opportunity to complete the exercise, emphasising the Government’s commitment to inclusivity and fairness in the ongoing youth empowerment initiative," she said.
Addressing youth in Moiben, PS Mang'eni praised their enthusiasm and turnout, highlighting the importance of the validation process in ensuring that applicants are genuine residents of their constituencies and wards.
“This process enables successful beneficiaries to establish enterprises within their communities, driving local economic growth,” she said.
PS Mang'eni encouraged all youth to complete the EAT within the extended timeframe and highlighted other components of the NYOTA programme that support enterprise development and youth participation in business initiatives nationwide.
The validation exercise covered Kapseret, Moiben, Kesses, Ainabkoi, Soi, and Turbo, reaching approximately 10,000 youth.
The process was coordinated with support from the County Commissioner’s Office, NGAO officers, the Youth Office, and other government agencies. Similar exercises are being conducted simultaneously across all counties in Kenya.
PS Mangeni was joined by Moiben MP Prof. Phylis Jepkemoi Bartoo, MSEA Uasin Gishu Head CPA Alton Kogo, officials from implementing agencies, and officers from the National Government Administration (NGAO).
