State House to hire expert consultants for Bottom-Up Economic agenda

The Office of the President has announced plans to hire a team of senior consultants on an "as and when required basis" to help realise the government's ambitious Bottom Up Agenda.
The recruitment drive, announced on Tuesday, November 12, seeks to enlist experts who can offer strategic insights on a short-term, "as and when required" basis.

According to the State House Comptroller, the consultants will bring specialised knowledge across various economic sectors crucial to the BETA initiative.
"The Executive Office of the President - State House, is seeking to develop a database of senior experts to provide consultancy services on a short-term basis," reads the notice.

State House is actively seeking experts in areas such as macroeconomics, microeconomics, household and welfare economics, and agricultural economics.
The call extends to those skilled in natural resource economics, with a focus on energy, environmental issues, and climate finance.
Additional fields include industrial economics, and law and policy, covering investment climate, ease of doing business, regulation, consumer protection, and climate action, among others.
Application Process
To qualify, applicants must hold at least a Master's degree in fields such as Economics or Law, with a Ph.D. being an added advantage.
Candidates should also have a minimum of 10 years' experience, alongside a track record in research, policy analysis, and policy advisory, as well as at least three published works.
Applicants are expected to submit proof of experience through documentation of similar assignments completed in the last decade.
Prospective consultants are required to obtain pre-qualification forms from the official government websites (www.president.go.ke and www.tenders.go.ke).
"Forms not filled out and submitted in the prescribed manner will not be considered," reads the notice, thus advising applicants to ensure all pages are serialised and correctly formatted.
Submission Details
Applications, marked with "Expression of Interest NO.SH/EOI/001/2024-2025" and the assignment title, should be submitted in a single, well-bound envelope.
The deadline for submissions is set for 11 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the designated tender box at State House Gate D, or the administration block conference room.
Late or electronically submitted tenders will not be accepted.
