Tana River residents appeal for help amid raging floods
The community elders who spoke to the Tana River Governor Dadho Godhana who toured the marooned villages in Tana Delta said they were undergoing hardship following the floods that submerged their farms.
The residents of Ozi in Tana Delta Sub County affected by the River Tana floods today appealed for immediate intervention.

Having listened to their plight and assessed their dire conditions the governor pledged a quick response on food, drugs and mosquito nets
The governor assured them of urgent intervention from the county, national government, humanitarian agencies and other wellwishers.

He called for patience following the devastating effects of the floods which he said affected a large population within the county.
“The journey towards recovery may be arduous, but with collaborative efforts, we will all emerge stronger, “said the governor.
The governor last week unveiled a nine-member committee led by a prominent businessman Mr Fahim Bayussuf to appeal for humanitarian support from wellwishers in aid of the flood victims of Tana River county
