Health, education partnerships to top Ruto's agenda during India State Visit
Ruto will hold bilateral discussions with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi with discussions spanning areas of agriculture, trade and investment promotion as well as forging healthcare partnerships.
President William Ruto will today embark on a two-day state visit to India.
State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed said Ruto will hold bilateral discussions with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The discussions will span areas of agriculture, trade and investment promotion, forging healthcare partnerships, particularly in pharmaceutical production and capacity building, and collaboration in education, ICT, maritime affairs, and renewable energy," Hussein said.
"The talks will lead to the signing of several memoranda of understanding that will strengthen the partnership between the two nations."
Ruto will also meet President Droupadi Murmu, and address a trade and investment forum highlighting the immense potential for economic cooperation between India and Kenya.
"The State Visit marks a significant milestone in the relationship between the two nations, providing a platform for collaborative initiatives and contributing to mutual benefits between Kenya and India," Hussein added.
The visit comes Ruto’s tour comes following his trip to Dubai for the UN Climate Summit (COP 28) where he advocated for Kenya and Africa's climate agenda.
The government said Kenya has secured Sh680 billion in green investment pledges at the climate summit in Dubai.
The pledges encompass diverse projects aimed at fostering renewable energy, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.
