Harambee Stars final squad named for Mapinduzi Cup
The Football Kenya Federation has unveiled the final 26-man Harambee Stars squad for the Mapinduzi Cup. The team, set to travel to Zanzibar on January 2, 2025, blends seasoned players and rising stars as they prepare for the tournament's kick-off on January 3.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced the final Harambee Stars squad set to compete in the Mapinduzi Cup in Pemba. The 24-man team will travel on January 2, ahead of the tournament's kick-off on January 3, 2025.
"It was not easy to come up with the final squad since all the players in camp were dedicated, but we had to make a decision in the end. We are building a team, and I think we have a good foundation now.

The national team door is always open, and we will keep improving the squad ahead of CHAN. As I have always said, we will use Mapinduzi Cup to fine-tune the squad for CHAN," Interrim Head Coach Francis Kimanzi said.
The tournament will provide an opportunity for the team to test their readiness as they gear up for CHAN, which will be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Defenders: Sylvester Owino, Hanif Wesonga, Alphonce Omija, Brian Okoth, Abud Omar, Siraj Mohammed, Ronney Onyango, Daniel Sakari
Midfielders: Michael Mutinda, Chrispine Erambo, Brian Musa, Kelly Madada, Austine Odhiambo, Kenneth Muguna, Ben Stanley Omondi, Mohammed Bajaber, Boniface Muchiri, Darius Msagah, James Kinyanjui.
Forwards: Ryan Ogam, Moses Shumah.
The team will depart Nairobi on January 2, with their first match scheduled for January 3. Fixtures for the tournament will be confirmed by the organisers in the coming days.
