The FKF Premier League and National Super League delivered a weekend of high-stakes football, with crucial wins shaking up both the title races and relegation battles.
Matchday action across the FKF Premier League and National Super League saw key victories shaping the title race and survival battle. Posta Rangers stunned Shabana FC with a 2-1 victory, boosting their fight against relegation, while Mara Sugar dominated FC Talanta with a commanding 4-1 win. Elsewhere, AFC Leopards and Kariobangi Sharks played out a goalless draw, while KCB returned to winning ways by defeating Murang’a Seal 2-0.
Posta Rangers, struggling near the bottom, pulled off a much-needed win over seventh-placed Shabana at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Dennis Okoth had given Shabana an early lead, but Shami Kibwana equalised before Curtis Wekesa struck the winner, earning Rangers a vital three points.

In Awendo, Mara Sugar were ruthless in their 4-1 demolition of FC Talanta. Robert Obaga broke the deadlock early in the second half, with Erick Juma doubling the lead minutes later. Though Talanta pulled one back, Joseph Okwenda sealed the victory with a late brace, pushing Mara Sugar further from relegation danger.
Meanwhile, APS Bomet tightened the National Super League title race with a narrow 1-0 victory over Muhoroni Youth at Bomet Stadium. Festus Kipkemoi’s first-minute strike secured the win, lifting Bomet to 39 points, just one behind leaders Nairobi United, who edged Darajani Gogo 1-0.
Elsewhere in the NSL, Nzoia Sugar thrashed SS Assad 6-0, while Dimba Patriots and Luanda Villa settled for a 1-1 draw. Mombasa Elite ended MOFA’s unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory at Serani Sports Complex, rising to 12th place.
