Defending champions Gor Mahia are desperate to end their four-match winless streak as they take on Kakamega Homeboyz at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos, on Wednesday. It’s been a rough patch for K’Ogalo, whose struggles have seen a shake-up in their technical bench. Former head coach Leonardo Martins Neiva was shown the door, with Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno stepping in as interim manager. Zico’s immediate task will be to reignite confidence among the fans and steer Gor back to winning ways.
The challenge won’t be easy, as Homeboyz have shown significant improvement under coach Francis Baraza, who replaced Kenneth Kenyatta. Since Baraza’s appointment, the team has picked up two wins, a draw, and a loss, and they’ll be aiming for a third victory to continue their upward trajectory.
