Alongside this, Spotify has introduced a recap tool for audiobook listeners, enabling them to seamlessly continue from where they left off, a convenience particularly useful for those consuming content on the go.
While these updates enhance Spotify’s social and functional experience, Kenyan users are still waiting for the much-anticipated lossless audio tier, originally announced in February 2021 as Spotify HiFi.
This feature promises studio-quality sound that preserves every detail of a track, unlike standard compressed streaming. Despite repeated announcements, it has not yet launched in Kenya or many other markets, leaving high-fidelity audio enthusiasts eagerly awaiting its arrival.
The new features reflect Spotify’s ongoing strategy to improve user engagement and make the platform more interactive.
By combining sharing tools with better audiobook navigation, the company aims to position itself not only as a music streaming service but also as a hub for all forms of audio entertainment, competing with rivals such as Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube Music, and Boomplay.
How to share music or podcasts
