Video: Aden Duale: Under SHA, hospitals must treat emergency cases without asking for deposit
Health CS Aden Duale has said that under the defunct NHIF system, hospitals often demanded a deposit before admitting patients in emergency situations. However, under Social Health Authority (SHA), healthcare facilities are now required to provide treatment immediately, even if the patient has not paid a deposit. Aden: For emergency, chronic and critical illness fund, we will make sure that in any emergency any hospital must admit, treat and release that Kenyan.
