How gunmen trailed and killed city lawyer Kyalo Mbobu in Karen

LSK staged a peaceful march to protest the killing, while lawyers filed a petition urging the government to ensure accountability and transparency.
City lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu was trailed by two men on motorcycles who opened fire on his vehicle in Karen on September 9, 2025, at 5:30 pm. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the attack.
An autopsy later revealed that he had been shot at least eight times. Two bullets were recovered from his body, with one lodged in his spine.

He also sustained two bullet wounds in his chest and beneath his arm, and eventually died from severe injuries and heavy bleeding.
