MPs Ali Wario Shaka (Garsen) and Hiribae Said (Galole) got lost on Saturday evening in Tana River while attempting to distribute food to constituents affected by El Nino floods.

"We are pleased to announce that our MPs Ali Wario Shaka of Garsen, his Galole counterpart Hiribae Saidi and Posta and Nominated MCA Mama Aodho Omara & other passengers on the boat that went missing last night have been rescued and are safe and sound," ODM said in a statement on Sunday.
"The boat that went missing in the waters of Tana River has been found. All occupants have been evacuated to safety."
The team left Idsowe village on a motorboat for a humanitarian mission in Mlima Abo before their disappearance.
According to the Kenya Red Cross Regional Coordinator, Hassan Musa, the two MPs were part of a team of about 20 people, including some Members of the County Assembly.
The MPs and their aides had left a food distribution exercise for flood victims when they got lost in the river while tracing their way to Garsen.
