The Marsabit County government officially launched the County Monitoring and Evaluation Committee today. This committee is set to play a crucial role in the harmonization, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs at the county level.

The Marsabit County government officially launched the County Monitoring and Evaluation Committee today. This committee is set to play a crucial role in the harmonization, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs at the county level.

Ahmed Yussuf Intallo, the Chief Officer for Economic Planning and Budget, highlighted that the committee's formation was a collaborative effort between the County government and USAID Nawiri. The committee underwent a comprehensive two-day training on an electronic monitoring and evaluation system.

Intallo emphasized that the committee's primary responsibility would be to monitor and evaluate the implementation of projects and programs outlined in the County Integrated Development Plan. The committee, co-chaired by the County Secretary and County Commissioner, includes key members such as County Chief Officers, County Assembly Clerk, Court Registrar, and heads of technical departments from the national government in Marsabit County.

The training workshop, attended by County Commissioner Nobert Komora and other top committee members, aimed to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation system in the county.
