In the FKF Women National Super League, Gene Queens FC was found guilty of fielding a player under false identity during Match No. 112 against Eldoret Falcons FC. Investigations revealed that Irene Yego, a registered player of McMillan Queens FC, impersonated Evalyne Ayieta of Gene Queens using FKF License No. FKF049189.
The match was awarded to Eldoret Falcons FC on a 2-0, three points basis. Irene Yego received a one-year suspension for impersonation and use of an altered player card.
Marafiki FC penalised in two separate incidents
In the FKF Division One League, Marafiki FC was sanctioned in two unrelated cases, both arising from fixtures played on 23rd March 2025.
In the first case, the club was found to have fielded Samuel Sichenje Wattang’a under misleading registration. Though listed as “Samuel Watiang’a,” the player was already registered with Bungoma Stars FC and had not completed a valid transfer. The Committee awarded the match to Bumbani FC (2-0, three points), and Wattang’a was suspended for 365 days for providing false registration information.
In the second case, Marafiki included suspended player Justin Okurumi among the substitutes for their match against Ruiru Hot Stars FC. Okurumi had been previously suspended for violent conduct in a match against Congo Boyz FC, and this status had been formally communicated to all clubs. As a result, Ruiru Hot Stars FC were awarded the match (2-0, three points).
Dynamo FC players suspended for referee assault
In another Division One fixture, Dynamo FC were found responsible for the abandonment of Match No. 183 against Kenya Navy FC, played on 30th March 2025 at the NYS Grounds in Mtongwe. The Committee established that the match was disrupted in the 82nd minute when Dynamo players assaulted the centre referee.
The match was awarded to Kenya Navy FC (2-0, three points), while Dynamo players Godfrey Murugi, John Mkwiche, and Anthony Obinna were suspended for the remainder of the 2024/25 season. Additionally, Kenya Navy FC were barred from using the NYS Grounds for the rest of the season due to inadequate matchday security.
GFE 105 FC handed rulings in two fixtures
GFE 105 FC were involved in two separate rulings. Match No. 202 against Zoo FC, initially scheduled for 1st May 2025, was deemed unplayed due to force majeure. The Kipchoge Keino Stadium had been declared unavailable due to renovations, as communicated by Sports Kenya. Although GFE 105 attempted a late switch to Eldoret Showgrounds, Zoo FC declined the short-notice change and appeared at the original venue. The Committee ruled that the match be replayed, with each club covering its own expenses.
In Match No. 195 against Vegpro FC, played on 12th April 2025, GFE 105 FC failed to honour the fixture. Despite a rescheduled kick-off time, the club arrived past the deadline, by which time the hosts and match officials had already left the venue. The match was awarded to Vegpro FC (2-0, three points), with GFE 105 deemed to have forfeited.
