KCB FC sack coaching trio as club eyes strong finish to disappointing season
 
                                                    Following a poor run of form, KCB FC has suspended Head Coach Patrick Odhiambo and two members of his technical staff as the club seeks to inject fresh energy ahead of its final two matches of the FKF Premier League season.
KCB Football Club has suspended Head Coach Patrick Odhiambo, Assistant Coach Jeffer Odongo, and Fitness Trainer Eric Muranda with immediate effect following a string of poor results in the FKF Premier League.
In an official statement, the club confirmed the changes are aimed at improving performance heading into the final stretch of the season.
“KCB Football Club has made changes to its technical bench in a bid to turn around the team’s performance. The club has suspended its Head Coach, Patrick Odhiambo, Assistant Coach Jeffer Odongo, and Fitness Trainer Eric Muranda, effective immediately,” read the statement.

The bankers are winless in their last five outings, with their most recent setback coming against relegation-threatened Bidco United. The defeat left KCB in ninth place on the log with 41 points.
In the interim, Goalkeeping Coach Samuel Koko Okoth has been tasked with leading the team for its remaining two fixtures.
“We’ve held mutual discussions with the coach and his assistants. The aim now is to bring fresh energy into the squad as we seek a strong finish and begin preparations for next season,” said club chairman Bramwel Simiyu.
“KCB Football remains an integral part of the KCB brand’s sporting ambitions. It's important for us to take stock and reposition ourselves as title contenders moving forward. We have an ambition to win the league and maintain top-level performance in the long term,” he added.
KCB will host Nairobi City Stars on 10 June before wrapping up the 2024/25 season away to AFC Leopards on 15 June.
