Justin Muturi says the Opposition wrote to the IEBC twice seeking dialogue on electoral reforms ahead of the 2027 General Election, but the Commission has yet to acknowledge or respond to the requests.

The United Opposition has criticised the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for failing to respond to its requests for a multi-stakeholder forum on electoral reforms.
Speaking during the launch of the IEBC's Election Operations Plan 2025–2027, Justin Muturi said the Opposition wrote to the Commission in February and again in April, seeking dialogue on key electoral issues ahead of the 2027 General Election. However, he said the Commission had neither acknowledged receipt of the letters nor responded to them.
