Video: Refugees protest in Hagardera camp over WFP food cuts, say new programme increases hunger

Hundreds of refugees at Hagardera camp, Garissa County held a peaceful protest against the World Food Programmeโ€™s Differentiated Assistance Programme, which has led to reduced food rations following funding cuts. Carrying placards, the refugees condemned the changes as harsh and warned they could worsen hunger among already struggling families. The demonstrators marched to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and World Food Programme (WFP) offices under police escort to voice their concerns.
