Woman linked to murder of Wells Fargo HR Manager dies
Despite being rushed to a hospital in Yala, the woman succumbed to her injuries hours later.
A female suspect linked to the murder of Wells Fargo HR Manager Willis Ayieko has died after being hospitalised for injuries sustained during a police chase.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced the woman's death on Wednesday, October 30.

In a significant development, police in Siaya's Gem Wagai sub-county also recovered a pistol belonging to the late Ayieko after a shootout between detectives and a male driver who was accompanied by the deceased.
According to the DCI, "This firearm had been robbed from him on the night he was murdered."
The recovery followed a tip-off from members of the public, who reported seeing two individuals—the male and female suspects—armed in a Toyota Axio, registration number KDN 948B, at Wagai Trading Centre.
When officers from Wagai Police Station flagged down the suspect’s vehicle, the male driver defied orders and opened fire on the police while speeding off towards Luanda.
"This prompted a hot chase that ended at Adder Farm within the Kagilo area, where the vehicle lost control and rolled over," the DCI stated. Unfortunately, the driver managed to escape, leaving behind the female passenger, who was found injured and unconscious.
Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered a pistol loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition, identified as the firearm stolen from Ayieko. Despite being rushed to a hospital in Yala, the woman succumbed to her injuries hours later.
Meanwhile, an intensified pursuit of the fleeing suspect led Gem Yala detectives to his rented house at the Sagam Trading Centre in Kanyibwop village.
There, authorities confiscated several items, including a jungle green sweater, military shorts, two television sets, an HP laptop, and a Rolex watch. A woman found in the house was also arrested.
Investigations into the murder are ongoing, with detectives examining all evidence and forensic teams conducting thorough analyses to uncover new leads.
