KUCCPS has opened applications for 31 KMTC diploma and certificate programmes for an immediate intake. Applicants must apply via the KUCCPS online portal by May 6, 2026. KMTC has also digitised processes for deferment, course and campus changes.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened applications for 31 Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) diploma and certificate programmes, giving students an opportunity to pursue medical training under an immediate intake.
The intake targets applicants interested in building careers in the health sector through accredited training institutions.
The available programmes include Certificate in Community Health Assistant, Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician, Certificate in Health Insurance Management, Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology, Certificate in Medical Engineering, Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics, Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, Certificate in Public Health, Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Diploma in Community Health, Diploma in Community Oral Health, Diploma in Dental Technology, Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology, Diploma in Health Counselling, Diploma in Health Insurance Management, Diploma in Health Promotion, Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology, Diploma in Medical Engineering, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Diploma in Medical Social Work.

Applicants are required to submit their applications through the KUCCPS online portal before the May 6, 2026 deadline.
Meanwhile, KMTC has introduced new digital guidelines governing requests for deferment of studies, change of course, and transfer to other campuses, stating that all such applications will now be processed exclusively through its online admissions system.
In a statement on Tuesday, the institution said the move has been fully digitised to improve efficiency and reduce the need for physical visits to campuses.
"KMTC informs all applicants that requests for a change of campus, a change of course, or a deferment of studies are now submitted through the official KMTC admissions portal," the institution said.
Under the new system, applicants must log in to admissions.ac.ke using their credentials, access the dropdown menu on the top left of the portal, select the required service, fill in the necessary details, and submit their request.
KMTC noted that applications will remain marked as “submitted” while awaiting review by the Admissions Office, after which applicants will receive SMS notifications confirming whether their request has been approved or declined.
The institution further stated that approval for course or campus changes will depend on availability of space in the desired programme or institution, meaning not all requests will be granted.
Additionally, KMTC announced that deferment applications for the September 2026 intake are currently closed, advising affected students to explore other available options.
The college also cautioned applicants to rely only on official communication channels, warning against fake admission letters circulating online and urging students to report any suspicious documents.
