NTSA said all logbooks that remain uncollected after the five-month period will be disposed of in accordance with the Authority’s policy.

Motor vehicle owners with printed logbooks still lying at the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) offices have five months to collect the documents before the Authority disposes of any unclaimed logbooks.
In a notice on Tuesday, the Authority reminded vehicle owners that it will not keep the currently printed and uncollected logbooks for more than the given period.
NTSA said all logbooks that remain uncollected after the five-month period will be disposed of in accordance with the Authority’s policy.
The Authority urged all motor vehicle owners who have not collected their logbooks to do so as soon as possible to avoid any inconveniences.
“We urge all motor vehicle owners who still have their logbooks at NTSA offices to collect them as soon as possible to avoid any inconveniences,” NTSA said.
The notice was issued in reference to an earlier public announcement released by the Authority on Thursday, June 11, 2026, on the collection of physical logbooks.
NTSA warned that failure to collect the documents could affect access to some services that require the attachment of a logbook copy during applications.
“Clients will not be able to access services that require a copy of the logbook without attaching the current/original logbook in their application,” the Authority said.
The Authority emphasised that the collection of the logbooks is free and urged vehicle owners to carry their previous logbook and identification documents for verification at the collection centre or NTSA office.
“All NTSA offices are open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to provide clients with all the necessary support,” NTSA said.
Vehicle owners can collect their documents from all NTSA offices and Huduma Centres.
For enquiries and service support, NTSA said customers can contact the Authority through [email protected], [email protected], its X account (@ntsa_kenya), Facebook page (@NTSAKENYA), or visit the nearest NTSA office or Huduma Centre.
The Authority also provided its contact centre numbers, 0709 932 300 and 0709 932 000, and directed customers to its web complaint platform for additional support.
