Bromley confirmed the deal on Saturday, with the club securing Woodman’s services for an undisclosed fee as they strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Harambee Stars defender Deon Woodman has earned a move into the English Football League (EFL) after completing a permanent transfer to League One side Bromley FC from Wealdstone.
The 23-year-old centre-back joins Bromley after an impressive spell with the National League club, where he developed into a regular starter and one of the side’s standout performers before attracting interest from higher-level opposition.
Bromley confirmed the deal on Saturday, with the club securing Woodman’s services for an undisclosed fee as they strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of defender Deon Woodman for an undisclosed fee from National League side Wealdstone, subject to FA and EFL approval,” Bromley said.
The defender came through the youth ranks at Crystal Palace before joining Queens Park Rangers, where he gained valuable first-team exposure through loan spells.
His early senior experience included a stint at Dulwich Hamlet, followed by temporary spells at Wealdstone and Southend United before he eventually returned to Wealdstone permanently in February 2024.
It was at Wealdstone where Woodman established himself as a dependable defender. After a further loan spell at St Albans City, he became a key member of the squad, playing a central role during their 2025/26 campaign. Woodman featured for more than 3,000 minutes across all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists.
The defender was also part of the Wealdstone side that reached the FA Trophy final in May, although they fell short after losing 4-2 on penalties to Southend United following a goalless draw in normal time. His performances were recognised by supporters, who named him the club’s Player of the Season.
Woodman’s impressive club form soon translated to the international stage, earning him his maiden Harambee Stars call-up and a senior debut in June as Kenya cruised to a 4-0 friendly victory over Lesotho.
“On the international stage, Woodman made his first and only appearance for Kenya in a 4-0 win over Lesotho last month. Welcome to BR2, Woody!” said Bromley.
