Kenya Police and Bandari FC extended their unbeaten runs in the FKF Premier League on Wednesday, while Gor Mahia’s struggles deepened with another defeat amid fan unrest at Ukunda Showground.

Kenya Police and Bandari FC kept their unbeaten records intact in the FKF Premier League on Wednesday, showing contrasting performances in their rescheduled matches. Meanwhile, Gor Mahia’s rough patch persisted as they suffered another setback, sparking fan frustration at Ukunda Showground.

Gor Mahia falter again

Gor Mahia’s troubles continued with a 2-0 loss to Bandari, extending their winless run to four matches. Coach Leonardo Neiva and his team struggled to regain fans' trust, as they were reduced to ten players in a tense second half. The turning point came after an hour when captain Geoffrey Ochieng received a straight red card for fouling Bandari’s Izzadin Juma during a counterattack.

Bandari capitalized on the freekick, with Geoffrey Ojunga curling a right-footed shot past Gor keeper Caleb Omondi, putting the hosts ahead. Later, Izzadin set up Beja Nyamawi, who outmaneuvered Gor’s Joshua Onyango to score Bandari’s second goal in the 78th minute.

The result saw Gor Mahia drop to eleventh place, while Bandari climbed to fourth.

Police salvage a draw against Sofapaka

At Dandora Stadium, Kenya Police fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Sofapaka despite being down to ten men. David Okoth scored the equalizer shortly after halftime, cancelling out Sofapaka’s early lead from Joseph Kuloba, who had capitalized on a Patrick Matasi error.

Kenya Police maintained their unbeaten record but will have to manage without left-back Abud Omar, who was sent off for violent conduct.
