The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast continued rainfall across the country throughout this week, with intensities ranging from moderate to heavy.

Regions set to receive rainfall include the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the South-eastern Lowlands, the Coast, and the North-western and North-eastern regions.
The weatherman said isolated heavy rainfall events may also occur over some parts of these regions.
Counties in the Central Highlands, including Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka-Nithi, are expected to experience occasional thunderstorms.
Residents in the Highlands west of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley will also observe similar rainfall patterns.
Counties in these regions include Kisii, Nyamira, Nandi, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Busia, Migori, Narok, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, and West Pokot.
Night-time temperatures in parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, the Central Rift Valley, and the South-eastern Lowlands are expected to drop significantly, with some areas recording lows below 10°C.
''Average night-time (minimum) temperatures will be less than 10°C in some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, the Central Rift Valley and the South-eastern Lowlands,'' the department said.
In the Northeastern region, counties such as Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo will encounter similar rainfall patterns in the afternoon and at night.
The South-eastern counties of Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado, and Taita-Taveta, as well as inland areas of Tana River County, will also experience continued rainfall.
Coastal counties, including Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale, will receive rainfall accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, with daytime temperatures ranging between 23°C to 33°C.
''Average daytime (maximum) temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in the Coast, North-eastern and North-western Kenya,'' the department.
