Meta launches AI Creator Assistant to boost performance on Facebook, Instagram

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Meta says the Creator Assistant is tailored to each creator's individual presence on the platform.

Meta has introduced a new AI-powered Creator Assistant chatbot designed to help content creators better understand their performance, identify trends, and grow their audiences across Facebook and Instagram.
Integrated directly into Facebook's Creator Dashboard, the conversational tool provides personalised insights on content performance, audience engagement, and emerging platform trends. Creators can ask questions in a chat interface and receive tailored recommendations on what to post, when to post, and how to improve their reach.
According to Meta, the assistant is designed to act as a "personalised creative partner" that simplifies the often-complex process of content strategy and performance analysis.
"Creating great content is only part of your job as a creator. Between analysing performance, figuring out what to post next, and trying to make sense of your numbers, it can feel like you need a whole team behind you. That's why we built Creator Assistant: a conversational AI tool in your dashboard that acts as a personalised creative partner, built right into your Facebook workflow," Meta said in a statement.
The chatbot is designed to provide content performance analysis, highlight emerging trends, and offer recommendations that can help creators refine their content strategies and improve engagement.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Meta says the Creator Assistant is tailored to each creator's individual presence on the platform.
"Unlike general-purpose AI tools, creator assistant understands your specific Facebook presence: your audience, your engagement trends, and your top-performing content. You don't have to copy-paste stats or explain your niche. Just ask what you want to know and get guidance that's specific to you and your community," the company said.
The tool will also learn from interactions over time, allowing it to refine recommendations and provide increasingly relevant insights based on a creator's content and audience behaviour.
The launch reflects Meta's broader push to integrate artificial intelligence into creator tools as competition for audience attention intensifies across social media platforms. By embedding AI directly into creator workflows, Meta aims to help users spend less time analysing data and more time creating content.
However, some observers note that AI-generated recommendations could also contribute to more uniform content strategies if creators rely too heavily on trend-based suggestions rather than originality and experimentation.
The feature is currently rolling out to eligible creators in the United States, Canada, and India.
While Meta has not announced a specific launch date for Kenya, the company says it plans to expand availability to additional countries and regions in the coming months, potentially making the tool available to Kenyan creators as part of its broader global rollout.
