The extended operating hours are expected to benefit Kenyans who are unable to visit the centres during regular working hours because of employment, business or other commitments.

Eastleigh, GPO, Makadara, Kibra and City Square are among 20 Huduma Centres across the country that will now operate from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm as Huduma Kenya extends service hours to improve access to government services.
Huduma Kenya announced the new operating schedule on Wednesday, saying the extended hours will apply at selected centres nationwide to give Kenyans more time to access essential government services.
In a statement shared on its official X account, the agency urged members of the public to take advantage of the longer service hours.
"Enjoy extended service hours at 20 Huduma Centres nationwide, now operating from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Confirm your Centre here," the statement read.
According to Huduma Kenya, the extended operating hours are expected to benefit Kenyans who are unable to visit the centres during regular working hours because of employment, business or other commitments. The selected centres will operate under the new schedule from Monday to Friday.
The five Huduma Centres in Nairobi operating under the extended hours are GPO, Makadara, Kibra, Eastleigh and City Square.
Apart from the Nairobi centres, the extended hours will also apply to Huduma Centres in Thika, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Bungoma, Embu, Meru, Laikipia, Kisii, Kitale, Kericho, Kakamega, Kisumu, Mombasa and Migori.
Huduma Kenya has advised members of the public to confirm that their preferred centre is among those operating under the extended schedule before making their visit.
Huduma Centres provide access to a wide range of government services offered by various ministries, departments and agencies under one roof. These include applications for national identity cards, birth certificates, business registration, tax services, social protection programmes and other government services, depending on the agencies available at each location.
Huduma Kenya operates under the Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes, headed by Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku.
The agency says its centres serve thousands of customers every day as part of the government's efforts to improve access to public services and enhance service delivery.
