Ulinzi Starlets and Harambee Starlets striker Elizabeth Mideva has completed a move to Lithuanian side FC Gintra, marking another step in the young forward’s developing career.

Ulinzi confirmed the transfer in a statement on Wednesday, describing the move as an exciting new chapter for a player who made a significant impact during her time at the club. The transfer was facilitated by Sepuya Inc Agency, with Ulinzi Starlets acknowledging the agency’s role in helping complete the move.

Mideva will now continue her career in Lithuania’s Moterų A Lyga, where FC Gintra compete at the highest level of women’s football in the country. The move also presents her with an opportunity to test herself on the European stage, with her new club set to face Scottish side Hearts in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying round on August 5.

The forward arrives in Lithuania after a prolific spell with Ulinzi Starlets, where she scored 13 goals in just 10 league appearances last season and established herself as one of the most promising attacking talents in Kenyan women’s football.

Her performances also earned her a place in Harambee Starlets head coach Beldine Odemba’s provisional squad for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), although she missed out on the final 25-player squad.

“Her remarkable performances saw her score 13 goals in just 10 league matches, an outstanding achievement that reflected her quality, determination, and clinical finishing in front of goal,” Ulinzi Starlets said.

The club also paid tribute to Mideva’s contribution, thanking the striker for her commitment and the memories created during her time at Ulinzi Starlets.

“Thank you for the goals, the unforgettable memories, and your unwavering commitment to the badge,” Ulinzi Starlets said in their farewell message.

Mideva joined Ulinzi Starlets after completing her high school education at Archbishop Njenga Girls High School in Kakamega County, before making an immediate impression in senior football.
