Nine months after the first ball was kicked, the curtain finally falls on the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season this Sunday with all nine Round 34 fixtures kicking off simultaneously across the country.
While Gor Mahia will take centre stage as they receive the league trophy at Nyayo National Stadium, attention will also be fixed on the battle for survival where Kariobangi Sharks, Mathare United and Ulinzi Stars are fighting to avoid joining already relegated Bidco United and Sofapaka in the National Super League next season.
The title race may already be settled, but there is still plenty to play for on the final day.
Fresh from securing a record-extending 22nd league title, Gor Mahia will conclude their campaign against Nairobi United at Nyayo Stadium before lifting the trophy in front of their supporters.
K'Ogalo sealed the championship with two matches to spare and heads into the final round on 69 points, five ahead of second-placed AFC Leopards. Their title triumph marks an immediate response after surrendering the crown to Kenya Police last season and ending the previous campaign without silverware.
The match also renews a growing rivalry between Gor Mahia and league newcomers Nairobi United. The two sides have shared memorable encounters, including Nairobi United's victory in the 2025 Mozzart Bet Cup final and an abandoned first-leg league meeting earlier this season when crowd trouble halted proceedings with the score tied at 1-1.
With the trophy presentation awaiting after the final whistle, a packed Nyayo Stadium is expected as Gor supporters celebrate another league triumph.

At Ulinzi Sports Complex, AFC Leopards host already relegated Bidco United, hoping to end their campaign on a positive note.
Although Ingwe narrowly missed out on the title, their second-place finish represents significant progress after spending much of the season challenging Gor Mahia for top spot.
For Bidco United, Sunday's match marks the end of a difficult campaign that has resulted in relegation after several seasons in the top flight.
The race for third position remains alive heading into the final day.
Kenya Police sit third on 54 points and host Kakamega Homeboyz at Police Sacco Stadium. Despite failing to defend their league title, Police still have an opportunity to end the season strongly before shifting focus to the FKF Cup final against Tusker.
Shabana, fourth on 52 points, remains within touching distance. The Glamour Boys will face KCB at Green Stadium, Awendo, knowing victory coupled with a Police defeat could see them climb into third place.
Homeboyz also have ambitions of improving their sixth-place standing should results elsewhere favour them.
Tusker welcome APS Bomet to Wang'uru Stadium in one of the day's most intriguing fixtures.
While Tusker continue preparations for the FKF Cup final, APS Bomet arrive as the division's form side. The newcomers have won five consecutive matches and transformed their season after spending much of the campaign battling relegation.
A victory could see Bomet finish even higher than their current 12th position and complete one of the most impressive late-season recoveries in the league.
The most dramatic storylines of the final day are found at the bottom of the table.
Sofapaka and Bidco United have already been relegated, leaving one remaining place in the drop zone.

Kariobangi Sharks begin the day in 16th place with 35 points and must beat Sofapaka at Utalii Grounds to stand any chance of survival. Even then, the Sharks will require help from elsewhere.
Mathare United and Ulinzi Stars both sit on 38 points and know that avoiding defeat should be enough to secure their top-flight status.
Mathare travel to face Bandari in Kericho, while Ulinzi Stars take on Posta Rangers at Kenyatta Stadium.
A Sharks victory combined with defeats for either Mathare or Ulinzi would dramatically alter the survival picture and send one of those sides into the relegation zone.
As the final whistle approaches on the 2025/26 campaign, Gor Mahia will celebrate another championship, but elsewhere the fight for survival promises to provide the final chapter in a season that has delivered plenty of twists from the first round to the last.
